The Wellcome Trust/DBT India Alliance is an £80 million initiative funded equally by The Wellcome Trust, UK and Department of Biotechnology, India. The broad aim of the India Alliance is to build excellence in the Indian biomedical scientific community by supporting future leaders in the field. To achieve this we provide competitive Fellowships across the full spectrum of biomedical science: from fundamental biology through to clinical and public health research.
In view of the encouraging trend of the applications received for the clinical & public health category in the last four years, India Alliance announces a separate competition for the Clinicians and Public health Researchers.
This initiative has been taken up with the idea of providing a separate platform to Clinicians and Public Health Researchers. Please note that the India Alliance has set up a separate Selection Committee for evaluating the applications in this category.
Clinicians and Public health researchers who wish to apply to the current round of the Early Career Fellowship scheme or to the future rounds of Intermediate and Senior Fellowship schemes are therefore encouraged to submit their applications to this new competition specifically meant for the Clinicians and Public Health Researchers. Details and deadlines of this competition are now available on the website.
